Chapter 1 · Overview

Check the event details

An event takes a few fields to create; the rest is set in its overview. Read these details again before sending the invitations: every guest will see them.

Step by step

  1. Create the event

In “Create an event”, enter the name, venue, start, end and time zone. The entitlement used for the event is shown next: the free plan applies on its own; if you have bought a plan, choose which one to use — this choice is final.

  2. Choose the languages

The primary language is that of the invitation emails, the invitation page and the Wallet passes, and the scanner’s starting language. The secondary language, optional, only serves the team that will check the invitations at the entrance: the scanner can be shown in that language from its menu. Invitations stay in the primary language.

  3. Check how dates are shown

The format of dates and times in the invitations and on the Wallet passes is suggested from the primary language when the event is created, and can then be changed as you wish.

  4. Add a contact (optional)

An email address, a phone number or a short sentence, shown on the back of the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes.

  5. Tick “I have checked these details”

In “Prepare my event”, the step “Check the event details” sums up the invitation language, the secondary language and the contact. Tick the box when everything is right.

Good to know

  • Data retention: the overview shows the date on which the event’s data will be deleted. As long as no invitation has been sent, the event is a draft and its data is kept until the plan expires; at the first send, the deletion date is set from the start day, according to the plan’s retention period. With a paid plan, “Change retention” lets you extend it; the free plan has a fixed period.
  • Dates: they can be corrected as often as needed, and QR codes remain valid. The end of the event cannot go beyond the date allowed by the plan, shown under the dates. Once invitations are sent, see what a new date changes.
