Individual passes, entry control shared by your team
You collected confirmations elsewhere. InviteKey takes over to distribute access passes and record arrivals.
Your phones become the scanners
Each device joins the event using the scanner link, PIN, checkpoint and device name. No specialist readers to buy.

See who entered and when. Each scan is associated with its checkpoint and device so you can understand what happened at the entrance.
MULTIPLE PHONES, ONE EVENT
Multiple entrances do not mean multiple admission rights
Your team can split reception across several devices and checkpoints, within your plan’s limits. Online, they all check admissions with the same server.
The first admission is shared across the entire event: a used pass does not grant another admission at a different checkpoint.
What the QR does not do
The pass alone does not verify the identity of the person presenting it. If identity checks are needed, your team must arrange them at reception.
InviteKey does not manage re-entry after leaving or independent admission rights for each checkpoint. A “VIP” category is a label, not a special authorization.

What happens if Internet access drops at the entrance?
The scanner checks the server first. You choose whether the event allows an offline fallback or requires server confirmation for every admission.
Confirmed admission
The server records entry and refuses another admission if the same pass has already been used.
Provisional admission
With a valid session and still-valid synchronized data, the phone can record entry locally. It is sent when the connection returns.
No connection, no admission
If server confirmation is required, the team cannot accept new admissions while the connection is down.
The offline limitation, clearly stated
A phone blocks its own duplicates. Two disconnected phones can still accept the same QR before communicating with the server. Conflicts are flagged after synchronization; synchronization cannot physically undo an entry already granted.

Welcoming 200 confirmed guests to a client reception
An example workflow, with no promise of scanning speed or waiting times.
- Before the reception: import the 200 confirmed guests and distribute their personal passes.
- Before doors open: activate two phones, name the devices and synchronize their data if offline fallback is allowed.
- At the entrance: scan the QR codes and follow the displayed result; online, a used pass is refused.
- After the reception: review attendance and export the results before the scheduled deletion of the data.
Questions about QR code access control
Do we need to install an app to scan?
Your team opens the InviteKey scanner on their phones and allows camera access. No dedicated scanning hardware is required.
How many phones can we use?
The number of devices depends on your plan. Each phone is named and associated with a checkpoint to identify the source of scans.
Can a QR be shared with someone else?
Guests can share what they receive. First-entry control prevents a second admission online, but does not prove the holder’s identity. Arrange identity checks if your event requires them.
Can guests leave and come back in?
No. InviteKey currently manages the first admission to the event, not exits or re-entry.
